This is a genuine, vintage West German parka coat, with warm soft fleecy/fur liner.

Judging by the label I believe it dates from 1974.

Zip and buttons up the front, bottom hem and hood are adjustable using drawstrings.

There is some wear and tear on this coat and plenty of photos are provided to give an accurate reflection of condition.

Button holes are frayed (but still functional). There are some rips to inner, removable liner at the armpits (one arm quite badly affected, the other not much) but they could be repaired easily enough with hand stitching.

A couple of areas of the main fabric look to have been machine stitched over (probably when it was in army use) but this is not really noticeable except on close inspection.

There are signs of wear but generally the coat is in good vintage condition considering it's now 43 years old.

Measurements:
  • Armpit to armpit - 23 inches
  • Shoulder to shoulder - 20 inches
  • Down centre back (excluding hood) - 30.5
  • Underarm seam - 18
  • Down outside of arm - 23
  • Weight - 2.2 kg
