Antique hand made Irish Carrickmacross lace stole in ecru... Offered for restoration or display, this long panel features an ethereal large scale floral motif with muslin appliqued flowers, vines and greenery along sheer net ground, and is finished off with prominetly button-holed flowers along each end and a picoted scalloped edge all around. Rectangular-shaped, this generously proportioned panel measures ~19"X108", and is finished all around. In overall fair-good condition considering age with yellowing, a few very light spots, occasional scraggly threads, some breaks & separtion of the picots from the edge which can be reattached, some breaks in the muslin appliques/net, the largest being along one end where a headpiece was presumably attached. Most of the issues are along the edges, with the body of the stole and net being relatively free of breaks. Please enlarge photos for details.
