GUIDE: [See photos 2 & 3 above] Copyright
by Birddance Enterprises 2012. Jerry C. Fogltance, author. This 16-page guide
is in vivid color and gives examples and descriptions of all four antique
Singer Class 20 sewing machines from the 1st Model 1910 to the 4th
Model 1950. Also describes accessories that went with the machine models
(boxes, cases, instructions, needle packets, etc.) as well as a brief section
on generic machines. The guide protects the novice from purchasing a machine
that is missing parts, whose vintage is misrepresented by the seller, or has
the wrong accessories for that particular model. Experienced in writing educational
curriculum, the author applies a style that is concise and accurate. He has
also sold Singer Sewhandy sewing machines on eBay for a number of years and
includes in the booklet a price guide for purchasing individual machines and
accessories. Due to lower demand for the Singer 20 machine, prices have been
revised downward from those in the 2012 book edition. USER’S
GUIDE: [See photos 4, 5 & 6 above] Copyright
by Birddance Enterprises 2012. Jerry C. Fogltance, author. This 16-page guide
covers three basic areas: (1) How to operate, (2) adjust, and (3) restore the
Singer Class 20 Sewhandy small sewing machine.
New edition also covers the Singer 20-2 Electric. In writing the
material, the author gleaned pertinent information from several original Singer
booklets and created his own illustrative graphics. The author is experienced at restoring the
Singer 20 miniature sewing machine and includes in the guide a section on how
to restore this antique. |
