very rare guava from south america with very tasty fruits. small shrub to about 1.5 m with smaller and thicker leaves than common guava. fruits small about the size of cherry guava, but very tasty. it has very stong guava taste in the skin and outter layer of flesh and sweet and strawberry like flavour in the seed pulp. seeds are small and soft, unlike the large and really hard seeds of the cherry guava.

this species is very heavy cropping, plants fruit 2 times a year with double to triple amount of fruits of common guava.

very easy to grow. full sun to part shae. eastablished plant is quite drought hardy and can tolerate frost better than common guava
