For your consideration...

Here we have an antique French white/clambroth opaline glass jewelry casket or trinket box.  The top and bottom are mounted on a brass hinge, and it is quite heavy for it's size.  The casket measures 5 3/4" long by about 5 1/2" wide.  The hinge is in great condition - very solid all around.  There are a few tiny indentations on the top ribs, but I believe they are simply production imperfections.  They do not appear to be chips or actual damage.  I don't know who the maker is, as it appears to be unmarked.  Great addition to your opaline glass collection!
