Over the years I've tried to keep a selection of 35mm SLR bodies to accommodate whatever interesting lenses I happen to find.  I probably still have a Miranda somewhere, but I don't even know where.  I have no compelling desire to keep or use this lens, so the sensible course is to offer it to someone with an appropriate (probably Sensorex-era) camera.  You?

This specimen shows signs of use, in the form of tiny nicks and scratches, plus enamel wear at the very edges of the focusing ring, but no impact damage.  Focus is perhaps a bit stiffer than originally, but still turns easily and smoothly.  The aperture ring also turns easily and consistently.  There is a little (sub-millimeter) lateral play to the focus ring, which you'll notice only when you check the barrel for rigidity, but the optical stack itself is quite rigid.  The glass is clean and clear, with no sign of haze or fungus, though there is a negligible amount of dust-size debris within.  The rear element has a little area (c. 3mm across) of fine scratches to its coating; nothing which could conceivably affect imagery.  If the front element has any such damage, it's too small for me to see.  The six blades of the iris diaphragm are clean and dry (the apertures are asymmetrical, typical for Mirandas), and close with alacrity to working aperture (auto-diaphragm operation depends on a spring in the lens barrel).

I will ship with nondescript slip-on, fall-off front and rear caps, the front one a fugitive Fujica.
