Come and have a look in the Shop - it's where my best coins are
1911 Hollow Neck Penny |
|
With a little wear to the truncation, the hollow neck really stands out
Instantly recognisable when you know what you're looking for, but there are pointings to confirm as well:
-
I of BRITT at a bead
-
I of IMP at a bead
It is a fairly recent discovery - Peck didn't find it, Freeman didn't find it, but Michael Gouby did, so it will always be known now as Gouby X
Diam: 31mm Weight: 9.4g
Copper 95.5% Tin 3% Zinc 1.5%
Spink:4051 Peck:2242
Freeman:171 |
Photos are taken with daylight from one side, and an angle-poise from the other. I don't do any post-processing other than rotating them and giving them a nice tight crop
You'll always get 500 pixels, you'll always get both sides of the coin, and I never use stock photos

Most of the coins I sell are from my personal collection, that I have been steadily expanding and improving since I was a child. I started as a gap-filler, and now, thrillingly, I am buying grades I only dreamt of when I started. It is possible, therefore, that some of the coins being sold have been with me for up to 30 years. I take no responsibility for any life changes or turbulence that may result from such deeply emotionally imprinted objects entering your home |
