RARE VICTORIAN 'ARTS & CRAFTS' DESIGN SILVER PEPPER MILL

Late 19th-century (1896) sterling silver and glass antique pepper mill.

Made by Hukin & Heath - renowned for their modernist design, as well as silversmith for Christopher Dresser. 

Covered in beautiful hammered silver finish. The glass globular container has similar texture, matching the silver lid and the base.

All parts of the silver are individually marked. All with matching hallmarks.

The grinding mechanism is original to the pepper mill, by Peugeot Frères Brevetes S.G.D.G., with its original securing bar stamped 'Deposé'

The pepper mill is free of any personal inscriptions or crests.
