The blank is turned on a lathe. Sometimes a cyanoacrylate finish is applied or used to fill any imperfections. Final attention to detail is achieved by a method of sanding reaching up to a 12,000 grit. A buffing with compounds and natural fibre, then a light pass with micro-crystalline wax (which is used in museums) help give it lasting beauty. A true work of art!
