Replacement oled display suitable for Ensoniq ASR-X ASR-X pro. Blue and Red available.
NO drilling/filing or butchering of any kind are required to install this display in an ASR-X.
This oled is a direct replacement for the old lcd display, both have the same pcb layout. the dimensions and mounting holes are identical, simply remove the old lcd, then mount the new oled with the supplied spacers. I will include some chemwick to mop up the solder when the old lcd is removed
The oled ONLY requires pins 1-14 to work. There is no reason why anyone couldn't do this mod, everything you need will be supplied. display will ship with pins already attached, take care and handle it by the edges and make sure your earthed before hand to prevent any static charge !

**if you have a red ASR-X Pro you can choose a red oled, otherwise your better with blue. This oled display is the same one i have listed for a micro Q, peavey controller etc, the asrx requires a slightly different configuration, special longer pins which enable it to be spaced properly prior to soldering**

The pics show the old lcd display mounted, and also a test oled with detachable cables. This was done initially to quickly swap and test displays. Its not necessary anymore, the oleds will now ship with long pins attached. simply mount the oled after spacing it correctly, then solder straight to the board. To remove the old display, cut the old pins between the display and board and then desolder the pins one by one. in order to remove the pins one at a time they must be seperated from each other, do this by cutting the plastic seal between each one, they will then release off the board with minimum fuss and more importantly minimum heat. soldering iron should be sharpened up like a pencil, tinned + clean. its no good for doing this type of work if the tip resembles the end of your little finger. if youve got one with a plated tip, borrow a file from your grandad and remove the plating until its copper and then use tip tinner. when you go to use it, youll find the whole process of heating/removing solder with the chemwick and a sharp tinned copper tip, works much more efficiently, meaning less heat required to the delicate board ! less heat means less chance of any damage !

**This listing is for one oled display only, the ASR-X pictured is NOT included**

Thanx for looking !
