We are proud and excited to bring to market what could be one of the most useful products that we have introduced in some time.
With this new product, we combine the ability to connect a pair of your B&O or non-B&O passive (no internal amplifier built-in) speakers to your Bang & Olufsen music system that only has PowerLink sockets. Over the years, we have received countless messages asking if and how to connect a pair of passive speakers to a BeoSound with just PowerLink connections - the answer would normally be such that one must connect and incorporate a B&O 'BeoLink Passive' amplifier or another manufacturers amplifier into the setup. These solutions, as good as they might be, are often large heavy products that are not necessarily best for purpose. If you have larger, more powerful speakers, then the use of a high power amplifier is the ultimate and best option via one of our special cables. This unit is best used with passive speakers such as BeoVox CX, Redline and other smaller compact shelf type loudspeaker. The power output from the amplifier is 35 Watts RMS across the two stereo channels. 4 and 8 ohm impedance speakers are compatible.

Maybe, you own a pair of small BeoVox CX50, CX100 or any other manufacturers speakers and no longer have a music system to connect them to. With this product you can now stream music from your Bluetooth enabled device straight to your BeoVox speakers with brilliant sound quality and performance.
Another use might be where you wish to connect your BeoVox (or another manufacturers non-amplified speakers) speakers to a BeoSound without a built-in amplifier (i.e. those systems that only have the 8-Pin PowerLink sockets). This device now allows you to do just that. Examples of music systems with PowerLink ONLY sockets: BeoCenter 2300, BeoCenter 2500, BeoSound Ouverture, BeoSound 3000, BeoSound 3200, BeoSound 9000 etc..
Further to these excellent solutions, the unit also comes with the latest built-in Bluetooth technology meaning that you can now stream music from your iPod, iPhone, iPad, Android based telephone or any other device with compatible Bluetooth directly to your passive speakers via the unit - with excellent sound quality and robust wireless performance.

The unit is very straight forward in it's setup. Due to the compact design, the position of the unit can be placed next to the system, to the back of the system or on a wall/inside a cabinet. You may even wish to conceal the unit in a loft space together with ceiling speakers. There are two sticky pads for attaching the unit to a flat surface or two screw tabs on either side. It is not necessary to have the unit on sight and with no manual switches on the unit, is very easy to control through an app or straight from your B&O music system. Installation in a cabinet or similar may result in a shorter transmission range from your device to the unit. Under normal circumstances and environmental conditions, the range can be greater than 10 metres.
Installation Setup
* First turn off mains to the B&O music system (if applicable).
* Make the necessary connection from the unit to your music system's PowerLink socket (if applicable and you do not wish to use the unit with speakers alone) and/or to the pair of passive speakers via 2-Pin DIN sockets.
* Plug in the supplied mains power adaptor to the mains socket and also to the unit.
* Switch mains power on to B&O music system (if applicable).
* Switch mains power on at the mains adaptor and ensure that the little red power ON light (central to front panel) is illuminated on the front of the unit.
* An audible signal will then be heard briefly (through the connected speakers) to let you know that the connection has been made between the unit and the connected passive speakers.
* A blue flashing light can be observed on the front panel of the unit. The blue light flashes quickly to indicate that a Bluetooth connection has yet to be made to your device.
* Open the Bluetooth setting menu on your iPod, iPad, iPhone (or other Bluetooth enabled device) and locate the unit. Then select the 'connect' option.
* You will then be prompted to enter a password for security. The password is '012345'.
* With a Bluetooth connection established, the blue indicator on the front panel of the unit will now flash at slower intervals.
* The red power indicator on the front of the unit remains lit at all times. There is also a second red LED on the front panel of the unit. This lights up when your Bang & Olufsen music system is switched on and is in playback mode (i.e. CD, Radio, Tape etc.. Not whilst in standby).
Please note that Bluetooth takes priority as the source if connected to a B&O music system.
The setup process is now complete and you are ready to start enjoying music from your B&O music system, passive speakers and using the Bluetooth streaming option...
The product comes included with a switch-mode power supply and is designed to operate on 100-240 VAC (60/50Hz.) This is the mains voltage for the UK, US, Europe and most other countries around the world. If you are not sure, please ask using the 'ask seller a question'.
Please note that an adaptor specific to your country will be required if you do not live in the UK. For example, if you live in the US, a 3-Pin UK to 2-Pin US style adaptor will be required to plug into your mains wall outlet. These are available from any good electrical store or here on eBay.
