Resistance Test: While the tool in this mode, contact the probe tip to a circuit, then the LCD display will read the resistance between the tip and auxiliary ground lead.
Diode Test: In this mode, the probe tip contact the positive terminal of the diode, connect the auxiliary ground lead to the negative terminal of the diode, the screen will display the forward voltage drop, indicates the forward bias. If exchange the probe tip and auxiliary ground lead, the screen will not display the voltage, indicates the reverse bias.

More Advance Features to Do Circuit Test
Fuel Inject Mode:
There are a variety of currently used techniques and tools that can test a fuel injector or injector circuitry; however it usually involves using multiple tools and tests to check every aspect of the injector circuit. Complete testing could take quite a bit of time.
Fuel Inject Mode is specifically set up for quick and easy diagnosis of the fuel injection circuit. A quick connection to the circuit and the KM50 will display all the information needed to test the injectors. To reset the maximum and minimum values, press the mode button twice.
If no valid injector pulse is detected in this mode, a bar icon will be displayed instead.
Frequency and Duty Cycle Mode:
The car's electronic control system communicates with various sensors via digital signals. When the car fails, you need to use the instrument to check whether the frequency of the signal or the duty cycle is abnormal.
Press the Mode button to enter the menu, and press the Down button momentarily to place the cursor in the frequency mode, and press the Mode button momentarily to enter the frequency waveform display mode.

Buzzer and LED light are Switchable:
When you measure the voltage DC, if the voltage is 0V, the green indicator light will be on and the buzzer will sound twice; if the voltage is above 5V, the red indicator light will be on and the buzzer will sound once. When the resistance value is less than 30Ω, the buzzer of the device sounds and the green indicator LED lights up.
DC mode is for testing DC (direct current) voltages. Voltage testing is as easy as contacting the probe tip to a circuit and reading the display.
DC Mode is the mode that the KM50 can supply battery power or ground by pressing the rocker switch.
AC Voltage Mode
The auxiliary ground wire is connected to one end of the circuit under test, and the probe contacts the other end of the test circuit. The LCD will display the max and mini voltage value, and display the signal waveform in real-time. You can adjust the sampling frequency by pressing the Up/Down Button.
Resistance Testing Mode
The probe contacts one end of the measured resistance, and the auxiliary ground lead is connected to the other end of the measured resistance. The LCD will display the resistance between the tip and auxiliary ground lead. When resistance value is less than 30Ω, the instrument buzzer will alarm and the green LED will light. This function can be used as continuity test.
Contact the probe tip to diode positive terminal, connect the auxiliary ground lead to the diode negative terminal, the screen will display the forward voltage drop, which indicates forward bias. If swapping the probe tip with auxiliary ground lead, the screen will not display voltage, which indicates reverse bias. It also displays the max and mini values during measurement.

TIPS:
1. KM50 is ONLY for 12-24V vehicle battery electrical systems, and should NOT be used to test 110/220V household appliances or it will be damaged.
2. The LED and LCD draw no more than 100 milliamps of current. So if you use this device as a test light or multimeter, it is safe for computers and airbags.
3. When turning on components, you can extend the life of rocker switch in the tool if you first press the switch, and then apply the tip to the component. The arc will then occur at the tip and not at the metal contacts of the rocker switch.
