This is your chance to buy one of the most sought after cars in Bromley.

Despite all the offers we've had ( usually by the bin men - "do ya wannus to take it?" ), we've resisted the temptation and kept it for all you lucky ebay bidders.

Our photography skills are far greater than our love of Peugeots so please bear in mind that the car looks far nicer in the pictures than in the cold light of day. Set your sights low as we'd rather the lucky winning bidder was pleasantly surprised at the condition rather than being disappointed. If this was an episode of Wheeler Dealers, it would be the 'before' version.

Right, the beast itself ........ Peugeot 205 GTI. (Grotty Torn Interior). This is the more desirable 1.6 model. More desirable than the 320 bus anyway. This car has been in my possession since May 2004 and has been used daily for the 5 mile round trip to work. It's so economical that it can manage a whole week with the the low fuel light on, and regularly does. Don't expect too much fuel when you pick it up as I'm not about to start splashing out on it now. MOT runs until the middle of August and tax until the end of July so there's hours of motoring to be had.

It starts first time and after a couple of miles it will even idle, normally about the point that we're pulling up at work, but hey ho, at least your right foot won't fall asleep blipping the go pedal. The paintwork only ever sees water when it rains, but we have made an effort for the pictures. If you made an effort with the T-cut you could probably get a bit of colour back into the paint but as you can see we've decided not to bother.

The car doesn't seem to have much in the way of front fog lights anymore, but lets face it, when your driving such a head turning babe magnet you wouldn't want to be out in the fog where no bugger could see you. The front indicator over covers have mysteriously disappeared too. The car is coming up for 20 years old and so has plenty of little marks and scuffs on it, not necessarily the most desirable 19 year old model, but at least your wife won't get the hump if she sees you inside this particular one.

The interior leaves a lot to be desired too. It looks like a small rodent has made it's life's work to remodel the drivers seat, which in turn has obviously had a bit of a disagreement with the floorpan as they appear to be filing for a separation. The passenger seat looks to have almost divorced the floorpan, to say their relationship was a bit rocky would be an understatement. This particular model has it's own aperture for a stereo and comes complete with handy winders that lower and raise the windows.

We splashed out on a new alternator for it a couple of months ago as the glow worms that had been mascarading as headlights finally gave up the ghost. The car also got treated to a nearside wishbone to keep the old girl driving straight.

Really she's looking for an enthusiast to come and coset her, cos quite frankly she's been neglected for the past seven years.

Please feel free to ask questions. Tyre kickers and time wasters are requested to do so before bidding as you are bidding to buy, not to come and teeth suck.

We reserve the right to end the listing at any time because everyone else selling on ebay seems to, and we don't want to miss out. Winning bidder to pay 10% deposit via paypal within 24 hours of auction end with balance in cleared funds on collection within seven days. If you don't agree to any of these terms, please don't bother to bid.

Not looking for any swaps or part exchanges, not even if it's a Starlet.

That's it, what are you waiting for?

Ok, I know I asked tyre kickers to come and view before bidding, but there is a statement that also goes: A little knowledge is a dangerous thing.

I have listed all the faults that I am aware of so if you are coming to view a car that is older than you are, please be aware that I have been a mechanic since before you were born so please don't manufacture mysterious problems just to p155 me off.

I may be grumpy today and tomorrow I may be happier but sometimes I'd sooner send the little pug off to the great crusher in the sky than let annoying people have it.

Time for my medicine I think.

I've been out in the sun today and in a happier mood, especially as my new mate Kat has located some Peugeot 205 fog lights on ebay.

I think I'm going to contact the seller now and offer him a lovely car that will fit right on to his foglights then he won't have to sell them.

Now there's a plan Hannibal.

Wow, I've got my first official stalker now, and to make it worse, she's bought those security posts that prevent you driving your car into (or more worryingly out of) someones ( e.g a stalkers) driveway. I'm a little bit frightened now so if you come to view the car, please don't be alarmed at the large dogs that I'll have with me.

Got to have a lie down in a dark room for a while so questions won't be answered for a bit.

Right I'm back, I've been keeping a low profile in the hope that my stalker has got bored and found someone else to worry. I mean, who would actually put a picture of themselves on their profile page and then get people to view it. I certainly wouldn't..........

Anyway, car's doing well in the bidding stakes, it's only a couple of days until someone will be driving off in the little pug and having an Easter that they'll never forget. In a good way that is. Don't forget not to give easter eggs to your dog though.........he'll never get the wrapper off without those posable thumbs.
