New Hosta Empress Wu from Brian & Virginia Skaggs, USA, new seedling of Hosta 'Big John' with huge dark green leaves that are deeply veined and of great substance. In 5-6 years can reach 1.35m high with pale lavender flowers on 1.5m flowerscapes. What a specimen a gigantic Hosta at maturity. Largest measured leaf 62cm.
Hosta leaves die back from as early as end of August and re-emerge when temperature is warm enough in the Spring usually March onwards.

This is the most popular Hosta in USA and certainly one of the largest growing Hostas a real stunner.
Plant is sent out bareroot ex a 3.5 litre container, ready for planting straight into your garden. This is a large root system and heavy. Mature very well rooted plants.
Due to Royal Mail new parcel sizes plants will be folded or trimmed to suit the size of Royal Mail parcel size. Plants that have tall flowers will be cut off before posting.
