Vintage circa 1950s Belstaff Black Prince rubber motorcycle jacket and trousers.

Rubber outer shell with Lightning zipper, part checked cotton lining in the upper back, cotton backing to the rubber throughout, buckled chin strap. Newey popper studded fastening pockets and overplacket. Belted with reflector patch on one side at the back of the belt.  The trousers have non removable braces, cuff straps, side pockets and buckle adjusters.

There's no size label in this so check the measurements as all sales are final and vintage sizes vary considerably.

The jacket label is missing however the label is present in the trousers.  The outer shell is marked here and there, there are a few nicks and areas of wear, there are some feint marks and patination here and there.  Some feint scuffs and surface marks here and there- some wear at the collar but only surface. The rubber is supple however and intact. The belt loop at one side is worn where it joins the jacket but still functional.  The belt intact, albeit a little worn. The hems are coming down slightly on the trousers- they can be quite easily reglued. The lining is grubby and marked in both the jacket and trousers.

 

Jacket:

Sleeves are 18 1/2" from the underarm seam to the end of the sleeve
No shoulder seams to measure

From nape to hem is 29 1/2"

Across chest under the arms is 23 1/2"

The same across the back

Trousers:

Waist will fit 38"when buckled in to about 46" when expanded (remember these are over-trousers so the waist will be bigger)

Inside leg is 31" approx

Braces/suspenders are 38" long and adjustable

Rise at the front is 16"

Rise at the back is 17"

Across the hems is 9 1/2"
