Consumer comments:
Not a lot to say about Titebond that hasn't already been said. I used Titebond for all kinds of guitar and other instrument repairs when I worked in a small shop specializing in vintage guitars and amplifiers. Now that I'm setting up shop to get back into this line of work, Titebond was the first choice of readily-available commercial adhesives for attaching wood to wood. It sets up fairly quickly, meaning that I can move on to other projects or remove clamps and do additional work on the same guitar without too much wait time.
One tip: This glue flows very well into tight cracks if you can get it in there without too much mess. For tight repairs (reattaching tops to acoustic guitar bodies or getting into chair/leg joints), I bought some inexpensive syringes and needles at the veterinary supply shop, and I'm able to put the glue exactly where I want it with minimal clean up. With hot water, the syringes clean up nicely and are reusable.
Titebond - great all-around wood glue for projects that aren't likely to get wet
Titebond II - same adhesive properties, but more water resistance
Titebond III - Waterproof. Withstands humid or wet conditions, but is not the first choice if you may need to separate the pieces at some point in the future.
