| "Printer can not recognize cartridges.": | This message occurs when the chips on the CISS are not seated properly. Take out the cartridges, turn off your printer and unplug it. Wait 30 seconds. Then plug back your printer, turn it on and install the cartridges again, being sure to seat them firmly to hear a good "click". Press down a couple more times with your thumbs on top of the cartridges before completing your cartridge installation. |
| "Nothing is printing on my pages." | Make sure the air filters are not installed on top of the ink tanks, so the ink can not flow through the system. |
| "The ink tubes are getting stuck inside of the printer. " | You have to adjust your ink lines and test if it has clearance as the printer carriage moves back and forth during printing. You can do this by setting your printer to allow you to manually push the printer carriage back and forth, while you see where to run your lines and adjust them. Adjust them so they won't get caught and not 'slap around' inside your printer. |
| "Nothing is printing on my pages." | Make sure the small 'air filters' are installed on top of the ink tanks so the ink can flow through the system and into the cartridges. New printers require time for ink to fully pass through the printer heads before getting clean prints. |
| "Printer shows that ink levels are low, how do I reset them?" | If this does affect your print out, don't be concerned. Printers have an internal page counter that count how many pages are printed and forces you to replace them after you reach a certain limit. Once that time comes, remove all your cartridges and install them back in, or use your reset button if your CISS came with one. Then you can resume printing. |
| "There is air in the tubes, is this normal?" | Yes, it is normal because so many people handle it through shipping. If it does not affect your printing, don't be concerned. Description:
Refillable ink cartridges are designed as a cost effective and economical way of replacing your OEM ink cartridges. These cartridges work exactly the same as OEM ink cartridges but when they run out of ink, just refill and re-use them. They come with auto-reset chips on them so they'll be ready to go after each refill. A great way to help the environment and it's easy on your wallet too. You'll never go back to single use cartridges again!
Attention:
Prior to using the system, you must install your demo cartridges (cartridges that originally came with the printer)in order to initialize the machine.
The chips installed in these cartridges do not automatically reset. Due to this reason, the printer will not show you the proper ink levels. There's no guarantee that our chips might work on your printer, in which case it might be necessary to install the chips from store bought cartridges and putting them on the CIS system.
If your printer states that a cartridge is depleted, remove the cartridges, unplug the printer from the power and clean the chip on the cartridges with rubbing alcohol and a wipe.
Plug the printer in, re-install the cartridges. The printer will ask if you're using Genuine HP cartridges select "NO" It will then ask if you want to continue printing click "OK" and the printer should continue printing without any errors.
You must disable your HP cartridge protection setting from your HP toolbox prior to installation.
