 FAQ's about our Made-To-Order & Ready-Made pillow program

1.  "How is it possible to produce and ship a high quality Made-to-Order pillow in 2 days?"  We have six sewing machines and 4 operators. See picture #5. Our operators have combined sewing experience of over 90 years.

2.  "Will we receive the Custom Ready-Made pillow(s) shown in the listing?"  Yes, if you purchase a Ready-Made pillow listing, you will receive the pillow(s) in the photos.  Please be aware that if there is an example photo in the listing, this is NOT the pillow you will receive.  Example photos ONLY appear in the Made-to-Order listings and are clearly marked as examples.

3.  "We are not interested in a pillow but we would like to buy the fabric......is that possible?"  We will consider selling our pillow fabric inventory. Contact us with your yardage request. If we can come to terms, we will set up a private eBay listing.

4.  "Exactly how are your custom Made-to-Order pillows produced?"  All pillows are cut by our General Manager (Steve Terry) or his personally trained assistant. Steve has over 40 years of experience in fabric lay out and design. If a fabric has a focal point, the pillow will be centered on that focal point. If a pillow needs to have a four-way match, it will be matched. If the pillow fabric is a stripe, the stripes will be centered on both sides. If there is any deviation from Steve's standards, the differences will be noted in the listing.

5.  "What is your return policy?"  Sorry, we do not accept any returns on pillows.

6.  "Can I get samples of your pillow fabrics?" Yes. We send out over 100 samples per week. FYI: Our inventory turns over very rapidly and there is no guarantee that the fabric will still be available when you receive your sample.   

In this listing, we are offering a made to order custom 17" x 17" complete pillow . Invisible zipper closure. Feather/Down insert (90%/10%).

Why order pillows from Silverstone?

• Designer Corners........no "Dog Ear" or "Saddle Back" pillows from Silverstone!

• All woven components of the pillow have been overlocked.

• All pillows have a zippered closure.

• All pillows are complete with an insert.  Our standard insert is hypoallergenic Dacron polyester, but a few of our pillows come with a 90%/10% feather down insert.  Insert information is included in Item Specifics and in our Item Description.  If you desire another insert option, please email us.

• Our facilities are pet-free and smoke-free.

• Pillows are non-returnable.  Due to health and safety concerns, we cannot accept any returns on pillows.  Please ask for a free sample of the pillow fabric(s) if you have any doubts about color, texture, pattern or scale).

• Because of our extensive inventory of high-end, to-the-trade only fabrics, our design team can select the best combinations of colors and textures for our pillows.  In most cases, the quality and appearance of the material on the back is just as impressive as the material on the front.

• In keeping with our Green Business Plan, we purchase most of our fabric and leather from major luxury furniture makers. These facilities are plagued by excess materials that would end up going into the waste stream if not for buyers like Silverstone--a major concern when fabric is made from polyesters or acrylics that, although may have been produced from recycled plastic bottles or industrial waste, are not biodegradable. By reclaiming these textiles and offering them for sale to the consumer, Silverstone is keeping non-renewable materials out of landfills. In addition, Silverstone offers textiles made from natural fibers like wool, silk, linen, bamboo, jute and hemp that are rapidly renewable and biodegradable.  For more information about our Green Business Plan, please see our "About Me" page.

Our fabric collection is housed in three locations in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina.  Our contact information is located under the “About Us-Contact Us” tab. You can reach us at our main office M-F 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.

Our Policies and Conditions

Shipping:  We use UPS for all continental US shipments, so please make sure that eBay and PayPal have a physical shipping address for you rather than a P.O. Box.

Shipping outside the continental United States:  If your shipping address is outside the continental United States, we ship via United States Postal Service (USPS).  

Buyers outside the continental United States (Alaska, Hawaii, APO and international) do not qualify for Promotional Shipping.  Please use eBay’s shipping calculator, located under the “Shipping and Payments” tab, to determine USPS postage for your location.   International buyers are responsible for all customs duties and/or taxes charged upon delivery.  We CANNOT mark a package as a gift, nor can we reduce the declared value of the package below the selling price.

Package Standards: Unless you request otherwise, we ship all pillows in new cardboard boxes. 

Images and Color:   Please be aware that not all monitors show colors the same way, and that color is often subjective.  If available, we will always use the designer’s or manufacturer’s color name or number in our description.

Silverstone Fabrics offers the finest, to-the-trade only, designer fabrics and leather to our eBay customers.  We seek these treasures out from the most respected and well-known manufacturers and distributors in North Carolina, still the furniture center of the nation.  Thus, we enable you to have direct access to upholstery materials that otherwise could only be obtained from interior designers.  Most of our prices are half of the wholesale price which is in turn half of the retail.  So you, our customer, will receive at least a 75% savings over retail, sometimes far more, on such labels as Kravet, Scalamandre, Brunschwig & Fils, Donghia, Robert Allen, Cowtan & Tout, Colefax & Fowler, AVA, Zensilk, Ultrasuede, Sensuede, American Silk, Schellens, Algemene, Designtex, Architex, Arc-Com, Knoll, Pollack, Maharam, Luna, Baker, HBF and more.
