Lightweight cyclocross specific wheelset for race and recreational use.  

Rims are the strong and light Stans NoTubes Iron Cross made from aluminium alloy. Disc brake specific. Suitable for all cyclocross tyres  These rims are designed to be used tubeless with normal (non UST) tyres  but can also be used with Presta valve tubes. These rims are not suitable for road tyres used at high pressures.

Hubs are high performance Novatec D771SB and D772SB model. Standard 100mm wide front hub and disc width 135mm rear hub. Suitable for 11 speed Shimano/SRAM road cassettes, 9/10 speed with the supplied spacer. Campag and SRAM 11 XD available as an option. These are lightweight hubs with high quality Japanese sealed bearings. Disc brake attachment is by the international standard 6 bolt fixing.

The wheel come as standard with a lightweight Novatec QR skewers but have the option of 9mm, 12mm or 15mm front and 10x135 or 12x142 rear axle.

The 32 spokes per wheel are the light and high quality Sapim Race double butted spokes in silver. (The photos show a custom built pair using Sapim D-Light spokes in black) 

The wheels are built using a 3x (3 cross) pattern which is the best compromise between strength without excess weight.

Total wheelset weight is around 1640g

Sapim Race spokes in black +£20

Sapim D-Light spokes (saves 55g) +£15 silver or +£35 black

Sapim CX Ray aero spokes in silver (saves 130g) + £95 silver or £115 black (includes silver alloy nipples)

Silver alloy spoke nipples for Race or D-Light (saves 40g) +£10

Coloured alloy spoke nipples (blue, red, black, gold, purple) +£18

Hub options:

Extra front hub side caps £10

Extra rear hub axle £20 

Steel QR rear axle (for heavier riders) +£10

SRAM XD or Campag 9-11 speed freehub +£25

Rim options: 

Fitted Stans 21mm yellow rim strip and bolt in valves for tubeless use + £18/pair

Stans tyre sealant (1 x 1 pint bottle and 1 x 2oz bottle to use as measure and applicator) + £15
