This Bike is a very clean example of a Rare piece of motorcycling history, however, not museum condition. As stated all of the necessary modifications have been done ie; transmission rebushed, scavenge pump and oil pick up tube updated, external oil cooler with fan assist, and super-X tune which is the only tune recommended by the former owners of the company!Fresh Mobil 1 20-50 sythetic oil, fresh dot 5 brake fluid. Everything works as it should. Tires have plenty of tread.Minor chrome pitting on triple clamp(normal)and a couple of very small nicks in paint(shown in pics). I put over 1000 miles on the bike in 10 months. just took it for 145 mile ride this weekend and it performed flawlessly. No leaks, No smoke, Super clean Rare American fuel injected V-Twin. Only 209 Deadwood specials ever produced. The rest of the chrome is in great condition (rims, forks, springs, heads, etc), as is the paint and there are a couple of nicks in the paint from normal use as shown in the pictures. Nothing that detracts from the bike. There is no evidence of this bike ever being down. This is belt driven and the belt was re-adjusted early on to avoid any potential issues with the rear wheel bearing. The belt itself is in great condition, no cracks or signs of excessive wear. All of the guages; fuel, tachometer, speedometer, odometer, trip meter, work properly and light up. All warning lights, headlight hi/low, turn signals, four-way flasher, brake lights, horn work as new. The fuel injection works as it should, keeps the idle at around 1800 rpm until warmed then automatically drops it down to 900 rpm. Battery was replaced last year and is still good. The seat has no rips and is in good condition. There is one small blemish on the seat about the size of a quarter, but does not affect the integrity at all. I thought i would keep this bike forever, until my fiance' became pregnant. Thus, my priorities have changed. I don't have to sell this bike. I bought it to enjoy it and I have. I just can't justify leaving it sit in my garage for years to come when someone else can enjoy it. This bike is special, like no other you have ever had. You get a great sense of pride when you ride it, and when you tell people about the story. It defines what it is to be American. To have a dream, and be able to see it through. To be strong, reliable, loud and proud. That is what this bike stands for. If you've been on the fence about pulling the trigger and buying one, it's time to go for it. Even if you don't buy this one.
