Breech seal fitting instructions

Every effort is made to make a perfectly fitting seal, but due to varying manufacturing tolerances this is not always possible. To exactly fit a breech seal all of the old seal must be removed and any burrs around the breech opening filed away.

First measure the depth of the breech seal opening. Then measure the thickness of the breech seal. The seal should be 0.2mm - 0.3mm bigger than the breech opening. Breech seals are sized thicker than required so the seal can be sized down to a perfect fit if required. Size the seal down by rubbing the flat seal base against quality 120 grit sand paper until the desired size

(0.2-0.3mm over Breech opening depth) is achieved.

To fit the breech seal first remove the barrel from the action. Start at one point and work the seal around pushing it in to the breech opening with a blunt object. Once the seal base is fully in the opening, push the barrel against a hard flat surface forcing the seal all the way into the breech opening.
