Replaces 24dBi 1 meter parabolic Alfa antenna with more gain
and half in size with 18" DirecTV dish.
Replaces 18dBi Chinese Yagi antenna, has 2% more gain, 7% in link quality and fraction of the size. without dish, standalone.
Performance:
Total gain from our biquad antenna is 12dBi. 30dBi is achievable when using a 18dBi gain 18" dish.
Using the ALFA AWUS036H 1Watt at
30dBm makes a total of 60dBi gain equivalent to 1024 Watts (1kW) point
to point power (3dbi = doubles power. 30dbm=1Watt, 33dBm=2Watts,
36dBm=8Watts...........60dBm=1024 Watts). Double it with 2 Watts by using the Alfa
AWUS036NHR.
Best aiming position: turn dish upside down and reverse pipe holder 180 degrees (see pictures).
High quality Materials:
Aluminum reflector (instead of cheap bowed, twisted, warped, corrosible printed circuit boards, flatness is very important!) bare or painted (white/black).
Copper biquad element and shield pipe with USA made commercial grade cushcraft, manchester double shielded 50 Ohm cable with teflon insulation inside.
RP-SMA male connector
stainless steel screws
aluminum mount bracket (biquad holder).
Included: Biquad Antenna RP-SMA male to female right angle connector and bracket (mount to dish arm).
Not included: Dish, dish pole, router, Wi-Fi adapter.
A good quality biquad requires more than just solder wire element to RF connector without proper shielding, it must have SWR adjustment. The best distance from element to reflector is between 14-17mm lowest SWR. Each antenna tested and adjusted for best performance before shipment.
Easy adjustment: just unlock set screw (allen hex wrench size 0.035" included, made in US) adjust the distance and lock it back in. see pictures.
Vertical and horizontal polarization.
Sizes:
Available with 1/4 or 1/8 wavelength lips.
1/2 x 1/2 x 1/4 wavelength (61 x 61 x 30 mm)
1/2x 1/2 x1/8 wavelength (61x60 x 15mm)
Dish and WiFi adapter not included. You will need an old dish any size and Wireless USB adapter that has a RP-SMA connector to connect to your computer (works best with Alfa AWUS036H g adapter or AWUS036NHR n adapter and many other brands with RTL8187L or R3070 chips).

depend on size of the dish. 12ft diameter + get 125 miles.
Click here to see some tips how to aim and mount Dish
All satellite dishes are designed to point up to the sky.
Even when the dish is seemingly perpendicular to the ground it is still
looking up 45 degrees. so it should be face down 45 degrees when pointed to horizon.
Use 135 degree angle pipe to mount it.
Aimed at horizon in action on picture below: (listing's first picture aimed up in the air 45 degrees)
In reverse when your LNB arm is up dish should be face up 45 degrees pointed in the sky when aimed to horizon.
If you are on a hill you will need to point down more.
Now it’s only a matter of fine tuning the position of the dish. Using a free tool like Netstumbler is
a good way to aim your dish properly. Once you lock the maximum signal
tighten the screws on the dish and rotate the antenna 90 degrees.
Polarization positions and SWR adjustment will give you stronger reception.

P.S. About Double Biquad antenna.( see my other listings) We've built different double biquad
antennas and tested it. Despite good simulation data,
Double Biquad
antenna does not provide additional 3dBi gain as promised because
of
increased size of reflector and biquad element which lowers operation
frequency, double in size makes it 1.2Ghz antenna, has less amplitude, can't be better than
2.4Ghz single biquad working on its main resonance frequency. Whoever
invented it had no clue what he was doing or for scamming purposes. same
with 110x110 mm reflector size dish feed biquad antennas.
