For auction is a 1/54 (approx) scale Piper Cherokee 140 promotional desk model Manufactured for Piper by Topping Inc. of Ohio in the mid 1960's,.
These rare model planes were made for Piper and were given to contractors, executives, salesmen, and customers.
Measures 6" long, 7 1/2" wingspan; Propeller spins, great-looking promo.
The model is mounted on the original poseable stand - the base of the stand has a name plate "Piper Cherokee 140". On the underside of the base it is marked Topping.
All Original! There are no missing parts, the decals are in good shape. The base is flawless, not one scratch. There is a small mark of discoloration on the underside of the plane (see last picture) - this may clean, I did not try.
