1964 Chevrolet Malibu

SS Clone

I have been selling on eBay since 1998. I have sold hundreds of vehicles.

This is a great car and at a great price.

The car is an older restoration/reconditioning.

Im going to be as brutally honest with this description. I do not want you to show up with a car trailer or after making a long trip and be disappointed or upset that I missed something. Please do not think this is a car that needs restoration. It needs noting to drive. I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere and drive it proudly. I know the buyer is going to get a great deal on a great car!

The VIN decodes as;

1964

Malibu 8-cylinder

2-door Sport Coupe

Final Assembly Plant- Baltimore, MD

I have sold hundreds of vehicles and I have restored several cars. I am not a body man, but I am able to see basic signs of bodywork and repairs. I also buy and sell classic cars. My preferences are Corvettes and Chevelles.

The owner of this car is selling only because he has not been able to utilize the car as much as he has wanted.

The car is a great running car. It is strong and tight. The 396 is a horse and runs great. Nothing beats the sound of a well tuned big block!

Here is what I can tell you about what I see on the car;

Interior- Headliner, good and original

Door panels, original and only a few flaws. Very usable and needs nothing

Carpets all good

Stereo is a cheap aftermarket. Nothing was cut on the dash and the original radio is being installed this week.

There is a leak around the windshield. It just needs resealed.

A couple of the dash lights are not working.

The turn signals are not canceling

The speedometer needs lubricated as it jumps a little.

The front seats are out of a Chevrolet S-10. I don’t like the way they look or the way that they bolt up to the floor. I would fid a set of original seats.

The seats are covered in a newer fabric. Again I like the original and I would recover them in the original material.

Exterior- Older paint job that shows very well. I would rate the paint job as a high end driver. Its not a show job but certainly not a poor job. The only area that needs any attention is a small bruise on the right rear quarter panel. Easy fix, and not very noticeable.

Engine- Complete rebuild with only 2500 miles since rebuild.

The rebuild was done by a company in PA

Block is a 1968 396.

I noticed a small leak that appears to be coming from the oil-sending unit. I did not tighten it up.

It has a Flowmaster system that sounds great!

Undercarriage- Frame is perfect. No rust or repairs.

Rockers- Strait and I could not see any bondo or repairs

Floors-Original and not patched or rusted

Trunk-Has had a complete truck panel. It was cut out and installed ok. Opening the trunk and looking in, it is hard to see the repairs. When you are under the car I can see where the panels were welded in.

Quarters- Both have been repaired on the bottoms of the quarters. Not a good job. I would say that it was done years ago and is still holding up, but I would want new complete quarters on the car to make it really nice.

Front fenders are great. Look original and I do not see any repairs or the fenders were replaced at some time.

Doors- Nice with no repairs or rust.

I like this car. I love the big block and the body is in better than average condition. It is not a show car, but it is a great car to take to cruise ins and local shows. Its not a trailer queen, but could be.

I like the ride. It runs well and with very little work, it is ready for the summer. This is a great car to order a few parts and drive it as you do a few things to it.

We are making the reserve low and we want to sell this car. It is in the garage and the owner needs to buy a daily car for his family.

Payment

The only forms of payment that we can accept on this auction are, Bank Certified Check, Bank Transfer, Cash in person upon pickup or delivery. If the car will not be delivered within ten days we will require a $250 deposit.

We can work with you on payment. Please do not try the scams. I have been through them all and I can tell you that it is just a waste of time.

Shipping and Delivery

It is the buyer’s responsibility to take delivery of the car and if shipping is needed, the buyer is responsible for all costs involved. I can assist with the shipping.  However, I cannot give actual shipping quotes. There are several companies that can give you a shipping quote or at least an estimate.

Reserve

There is a reserve on the car.  We reserve the right to end the auction early. However, once reserve is met we will sell to the highest bidder.

I am the listing agent for this car. I have sold hundreds of cars, trucks, and bikes online and on eBay. I am not dealer so I cannot take trades and we are not offering warranties of any kind.
