Last year Clevelands Rotex face technology changed the face of golf as we saw it, this year the RTX 2.0 is pushing the legal boundaries of wedge play even further the new RTX 2.0 face technology and the combination of three distinctly different sole grinds. The Clevland 588 RTX 2.0 Wedge design came about after the wedge designers got inside the heads of their leading store staff, the likes of Keegan Bradley and Graeme McDowell were consulted to find out what they required from 125 yards for their wedges to perform. This is where the 588 RTX 2.0 was born.

To create perfection it is a three step process that will add more playability from various lies, more spin from all kinds of lies and the ultimate in feel and workability. Step 1 is the Rotex Milling, the Rotex Milling increases the roughness across the face of the club to produce more friction and spin, especially from questionable lies and rough. Step 2 is the Tour Zip Grooves, the walls of the grooves are steeper and sharper than ever helping debris channel away from the face for a more consistent cleaner strike. Step 3 is the Laser Milling, by Laser Milling the face of the Rotex 2.0 it fine tunes the roughness and texture across the whole face, by doing this it will increase the spin on pitch and chip shots.
