This new pedal from Warm Star Electronics & Delptronics is a rich low pass filter modulated by an LFO. Rising and falling as slowly as once per four minutes, or as quickly as 450 times per second, the LFO can be used to achieve all sorts of sounds, from gentle tremolos to ring modulations and all manner of psychedelically drippy space sounds. The frequency of the filter can also be directly modulated by the throughput audio (using the Gnarl knob) for all kinds of nasty filter distortion and snarl. The Shape Shift Mountain's all-analog signal path is centered around a vintage SSM2044 low-pass filter chip, the creamy, liquid character of which is well-known in the synth and sampler community. It has four expression pedal inputs, two of which are also CV inputs, and puts out an LFO wave at 0v to +5v.
