My goal is to create a beautiful, unique & collectible pincushion dresser doll that will be cherished for many, many years to come.

Jennie is completely handcrafted and is a one of a kind design (OOAK).

She would make a wonderful pincushion but these dolls also make a beautiful display item and add grace and charm to any room they are displayed in.
 
She stands just 7.25 inches tall. 
Her short curly hair is painted a pale blonde and she has beautiful blue eyes as seen in the photos provided. 

Jennie's porcelain half body is completely hand painted. 
Her split front pink wrap has been painted a soft cameo pink and has been adorned with deep pink rose floral decals. 
She wears antique white gloves and holds a spray of 5 porcelain roses. She is also highlighted with 22K gold accents.
Her stylish bonnet has been painted to match and is adorned with 3 more hand made porcelain roses and leaves.

There are many stages of china painting and kiln firings just to achieve the half doll, then she moves on to the next stage. 
Designing and hand sewing a base and gown to complete her.

Jennie is more of a "Gibson Girl" style half doll mold. 
With that in mind I designed and fashioned her gown with the help of some old fashion designer books. 
It was designed from fashion plates shown in a 1952 Couture fashion designer book. 

Her base has been constructed using a vintage shabby chic tiny rose print done in various hues of pink on antique white background.
There are rows of antique white Venice lace for her under-slip.

Her simple yet elegant gown is made using a cotton blend Jacquard with petite pinstripes and an all over antique white jacquard print.
It has a drop waist pleated bottom with an elaborate lace top.
There are rows of satin Venice lace, scalloped silk embroidered antique lace white tulle, silk rose gimp trim and hand sewn strands of clear bugle beads, petite seed beads and pearl drop beads. 

At the front center is a single gold toned heart and in back a matching bow accented with a hand made silk rose.


Please take a moment and look at all the photos. They are a large part of the description. It is very hard to capture the quality, detail and beauty of these dolls in photos but I do my very best. 
They are a one of a kind heirloom and make the perfect gift for that someone special in your life or a unique and wonderful addition to any collection.
