 This hand-crafted, professionally made headpiece was created based on the headdresses worn by royalty and the landed gentry of the Medieval and Renaissance Era's. It will add that finishing touch to any noblewoman's attire.


This headpiece is a perfect compliment to any dress and has been modeled after the headpieces worn by Mary Queen of Scots.

This Attifet has been made from a sturdy base that has been covered with lush Black velvet. Appropriate weight wire has been added to maintain it's shape. The gold Venise lacy trim has been adorned with hand sewn 10 mm Czech Glass Pearls.

Although I try to make my items as historically accurate as possible - I do believe that there are some "modern" things that make our lives easier...most hoods were attached with ties under the chin - I find that very uncomfortable so I make my Hoods to tie in the back at the hairline. Secondly - usually Black Velvet was used for the veil - I used black faux silk, because it is lighter weight and not as hot!
