It meant to one of the “best amps”!

It is designed for human ears, not for testing equipment. It is 85-lb (93 lb with the boxes) 845 SET amp with top panel of 5-20 mm thick solid copper-steel alloy. No one makes that except Dared! Go back all the issues of "Steroephile" or "Absolute Sound" magazine to search all those "best buy" or "Class-A recommended" amps near this price, and then bring them to compare this new Dared VP-845 side-by-side. You will find most are under half size and half weight of this Dared. The sound quality of those amps is probably is not even considered to compare to this one. Oh yea, you may find a $3500 80-lb amp with large transformer cover contains a small transformer filled up with "pastel" for sizing and weight. Not for the Dared! You get every music out of every pound of these Transformers (the caps of transformers are copper/alloy. the 60-lb bare transformers with no covers and no "pastel"! You can see the irons). Do not buy any other 845 amp that is less than 90 lb in weight and do not buy any 845 amp that has transformer covers on or using toroidal transformers (cheaper and lighter)--- beware lots of tube amps sale online used toroidal output transformers. I am not kidding. Dared used E-Core transformers,with no cover, you can see the E-core treads from back the amp, and top four screws binding all the way down. I suggest you go to your local high-end dealer's show room to check those >$3500 amps, and compare them to this new VP-845 from every aspect of build quality (top panel, transformers, frame, knobs, back connectors, and internal parts and layout, etc.). If you see a retailed $3500 amp that is better than this one, please return it for refund within two weeks. I am not joking! The new VP-845 indeed is a killer and ruler. Here is analogy. I often hear ones praise how good a 70 lbs McIntosh amp is. Let’s be very clear on this—McIntosh does not make 845 tube SET amp, not even any other SET amp. Yes, McIntosh is McIntosh, if McIntosh is an American Corvette, then Dared VP-845 is a Ferrari! I let your own eyes and ears tell.
