Stealthy custom finished 2011 BMC RM01 Race Machine frame, fork, headset, rear derailleur hangar, complete seatpost and seat clamp.  I just had this professionally stripped/refinished in matte clearcoat over UD carbon and glossy wet look black graphics, because I didn't like all the red paint BMC uses.  I've had this done to around 10 frames, because I like the stealth "BOB" black on black look.  Not built up since the refinish. I only had them paint graphics on the down tube and head tube for a conservative look.  I had the squarish shaped seatpost stripped and refinished in matte clearcoat to match.  This has an aluminum BB30 bottom bracket for stiffness and power transfer, unlike the thin carbon Press Fit BB86 bottom brackets the newer RM01's had.  I can throw in an English threaded bottom bracket sleeve if buyer prefers to use a standard English threaded bottom bracket.  Takes a mechanical group or SRAM Etap wireless.  Popular size in 55cm, which runs tall.  See geometry in last photo.  Much nicer looking TCC technology, not the massive fat tubed ACE technology like the newer BMC frames have now.  Put them side by side and you will see how much better they look and higher quality than the newer BMC's. Check out the cheap looking riveted cable guides on the newer ones, not molded carbon like this one has.  These were preferred on the cobbles by racers, as it uses a beefier carbon, than the SLR01.  My wife and I want to buy a house, so selling some toys to raise money for a down payment/closing costs (check out my other items if interested).  Great deal considering the refinish alone was $500!  Get a one of a kind custom RM01, without the wait time for refinish!

Info:

With Cadel Evans winning the 2011 Tour de France on the back of a BMC model no one in the biking world can deny the impact this understated Swiss manufacturer has had on the world of cycling. Designing and distributing outstanding mountain, lifestyle and road bikes each year one of BMC’s most recognizable models is BMC Race Machine RM01.

There is no denying that the BMC Race Machine RM01 is one of the best models available to enthusiastic riders today, with BMC utilzing their Tuned Compliance Concept which combines carbon fibres in perfect alignment to create a frame that is lightweight and strong whilst also possessing an increased vertical compliance as well as an increased level of lateral and torsional stiffness. While the lightweight and rigidity nature of the BMC Race Machine RM01 frame is impressive it’s the frames geometric design that really makes this model unique compared to others on the market. The geometry of the Race Machine RM01 is identical to the Team Machine ridden by Cadel Evans in the 2010 Giro d’Italia, with an octagonal downtube, hexagonal top tube, square seat tube and rectangular chainstay not only ensures the RM01 has a distinctive look but can help riders reach incredible speeds whilst handling beautifully. In particular, the carefully calculated head angle promises agile handling, the seat tube means a more aerodynamic riding position, while the 100cm wheelbase guarantees a more stable ride. But more importantly, while this careful frame design ensures a racing feel that is certain to help rides power along the road; it also provides riders with an increased level of comfort. This can be particularly seen in the super-narrow fork legs, which effectively absorb the largest of road anomalies for a more comfortable ride.

**Please note, it's a 5 day auction.  If buyer needs a signature required or wants to purchase Ebay's third party insurance, let me know.

May ship worldwide, but ask for a shipping quote prior to buying, thanks...

I am not a racer or affiliated with the company Vuelta.  When I joined Ebay in 1999, my favorite bike was my Pinarello "Vuelta", so I chose that for my user name. Check my perfect feedback and buy with confidence!

The last two frames cost me $60 to ship, so I will be taking a hit on this.  These were $3000 framesets initially, so don't miss out on a sweet deal!
