Just a bit of history that we all like to know about and info on condition  

These glass of this period Art Deco Lamp , are sculpted in moulded & pressed satin glass in Germany, by Walther & Sohne, using the same techniques as Lalique and Sabino in France at the same time.  Their glass studios embraced the new design aesthetics of both Art Nouveau and Art Deco, creating many stylish modern designs of the period, and now collected around the world for their style and elegance combined with exceptional glass making techniques. This particular Lamp depicts a nude sea-siren adrift on a rocky out crop, holding her 'North Star' light high above beckoning mariners guiding them to either their safety or doom  The base has a subtle variations to the satin-glass finish, that captures the light beautifully on both the smooth form of the nude siren and the contrasting geometric rocks which she rests on.   The lamp has no chips or cracks but does have a manufactures line on the base which is very hard to see , truely a superb example for the lamps age and the original Star burst Rotterdam Shade which has a lovely glow when lit -This stunning Art Deco Lamp encapsulates all of the periods love of style and glamour and is fully rewired in NEW Vintage cable and working
