French, I would think. Empire style, but possibly dating to early 20th cent (UK Edwardian period?)
Striking border around all 4 sides of hand embroidered cutwork lace, and hand made needlepoint lace inserts.
embroidered monogram IHT in one corner, which can be seen in first photo.
Plain white with no decoration in the middle.

Colour - White.
Condition. It is clean, and in good antique condition. From a recent estate sale, where it was found laundered and wrapped in a linen cupboard.
It has one hole. This is shown in 2 photos -in close up, and another photo shows its location. It is about 100cm from a corner, 46cm in from edge, along one side (if used as bedcover) The hole measures about 4mm across.
