Canbus Warning Please note that on some modern cars, retrofitting LED bulbs in place of halogen ones may cause the vehicles onboard computer to warn you of a false bulb failure on the dashboard. LED bulbs use far less power consumption than halogen bulbs, which is why the onboard computer believes that a bulb has blown due to less power being used. The bulb warning system is part of the CANbus microcontroller system in the car, in this case we also stock OSRAM's LED CANBUS Control Unit which is a pair of resistors that simply cut into the existing wires when you clamp them on, which removes the bulb warning error. LED retrofit bulbs are unfortunately still not approved for exterior use on the road, meaning they are not road legal for number plate, sidelight use etc. They are only road legal for use on the interior. NOTE - These are also available in festoon sizes 36mm (239) & 41mm (264 / 265) in our shop.
