You are purchasing a "Gold Grade" tube. This means that the plates are very tightly matched on a calibrated Hickok TV-7 or 799 within 10%.

Please see our other listings for "Silver, Platinum and Platinum Plus" tubes. Silver Grade tubes are matched within 15%. Platinum Grade within 5% and Platinum Plus 1%.

The Gold, Platinum and Platinum Plus Grade pairs are recommended for more critical applications such as your preamp and phono stage.
