Offered here for sale is a sterling silver tea caddy, dating from 1877-1900.  It is signed on the bottom:  THEODORE B. STARR.  Starr was a New York City jeweler with a shop at 206 Fifth Ave during the listed years.

The tea caddy weighs 126 grams on my postal scale.  It measures 4 inches tall to the edge of the lid--a bit taller with the raised dome of the lid.  Diameter would be 3 1/2 inches across the widest part.  Monogrammed on one of the panels.  Some minor dings / dimples as listed in the condition paragraph above.  A beautiful, hard to find piece in amazing condition for an item over one hundred years old. In the possession of its current owner for more than the past 30 years. Stored for most of that time.  Time to find a new home.
