Antique Victorian Portrait Locket....
This is a really pretty portrait locket of a what I think is perhaps a young Italian girl?
(I am looking at the rows of Coral beads around her neck)
The portait is transfer printed on a porcelaine plaque and has a detailed hand painted finish. It is set in a 9ct frame (the balls actually test 14ct and the bail 18ct) and has a glass photo locket on the rear with a photograph of a young Victorian lady - I wonder who she was? She's very pretty with her ribboned hat!
In excellent condition with just one very fine scratch just under the chin.
Size: 1 1/4" (3.2cm) not including the bail x 1 1/16th" (2.9cm) with the bail the length is: 1 7/8th" (4.5cm)
