  genuine TIGER’S EYE Gemstone & 925 Sterling Silver 

A similar, (if not identical), Style Necklace to ones accredited to ANTONIO PINEDA  

(famous Taxco Silver Jewelry Maker:  1919> 2009).  

On-line research found a Pineda Choker Necklace that was an extremely close match in size and 

overall description…only substituting 12- Amethyst Gemstones.  

This one is attributed to a different maker and Hallmark: 

made by the 64th registered Taxco Silversmith whose Last Name starts with an “L”… 

 (Possibly a former apprentice craftsmen - trained in the Spratling Silversmith tradition?)  

Inarguably- this is an extremely well-made and high-quality piece! 

Lays perfectly close around the neck - sitting flat and still - which allows for smooth comfort 

(despite its significant weight).   

(12) Genuine Tiger’s-eye Gemstones, (smooth, polished 1” pieces), were carefully set into their 

protective silver trough backings;  their stone ends covered with “Tied Bundle Covers” of 

sterling silver @ 1.5” repeats ... which were pin-hinged to allow for free movement. 

Achieving a visual “floating quality” ~  that is simply SUPERB!
