DescriptionThis is for an antique set of 10 French solid silver and steel cutlery knives, Paris, circa 1890.
Made of solid silver, the handles embossed with foliate decoration in the Rococco manner, each with French duty mark denoting solid silver, the high grade steel blades, each stamped with cutlers' mark 'MANCHE ARGENT, PARIS, CONTROLE' within oval cartouche.
Each cutlery knife measures 20.2 cm / 8 inches in length. The combined weight of the set of 10 is 287 grams.
The condition is excellent, without damage or repair, the silver perfect, no detns, no fractures, the steel also excellent with small surface marks from age. Please see images.
