This is a stainless steel Vacheron & Constantin Overseas Automatic, 42042/423A. It has an integral stainless steel bracelet with contrasting satin/polished links, and a hidden double folding clasp with a safety bar. It has a solid case back with 8 screws and the high relief "Overseas" ship logo, a screwed-down protected winding crown, and a scratch resistant sapphire crystal. The 37mm diameter solid two-body case, bracelet, and notched bezel are polished/brushed. The dial is guilloche black with applied steel dart hour indexes and luminous triangular markers, and an outer minute/seconds track. There is an aperture window for the date at the 3 o'clock position, and it has luminous steel baton hands with a center sweep seconds hand. It has a 40-hour power reserve at full wind, and it's water resistant to 150 meters/500 feet. The 9mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

The mechanical automatic self-winding Vacheron Constantin caliber 1310 is rhodium-plated, with fausses côtes embellishment. It's constructed with 27 jewels, and a shock absorber mechanism. It includes a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance that's adjusted to 5 positions, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. The rotor oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).

Vacheron Constantin introduced the Overseas in 1996. The distinctive bezel has a Maltese cross inspired design, which reflects the Vacheron logo at 12 o'clock.
