This is an authentic 8mm (junior) school cane almost exactly as you would have seen used on the backsides of naughty boys and girls in schools before 1975. It offers a vicious and painful experience if ever used. Ideal for those wanting a 'traditional' type of implement that will be used as intended!

This would leave red wheals with long lasting very painful sting if used as it was intended. (note that this is sold according to eBay rules - see below)

This is new and unused. Made from natural Kooboo (Rattan family) cane with the outer skin still on. All canes are finished in hygienic clear cellulose lacquer and can be wiped clean

All joints - Rattan Cane grows in about 300mm shoots and looks slightly "telescopic" with the new growth emerging from were the previous growth stopped. These joints or "knuckles" are smoothed and the tip is rounded so there less chance of surface injury! (see picture). No two canes look exactly the same

Dimensions: 820mm (32") long x 8mm diameter (all measurements are approximate to within a few mm).

Length is from top of crook handle to tip of shaft making the effective length from where it would be held around 28" which was within the regulation length for canes used in state schools (30" max). Long canes can be difficult to wield and aim.

Ideal for fun with those games like "forfeits" or "trivial pursuits" or card game like "naughty Poker" as a conversation piece over social gatherings or simply experimenting with friends!.

***NOTE*** Currently the Malaysian Government has placed a ban on the export of cane to the UK because of the decline in the export of cane furniture. They think we in the UK are making cane furniture instead of buying from Malaysia but they haven't considered the fact that cane furniture is out of fashion at the moment. All cane being imported now carries a higher price which, I am sorry to say has to be passed on.
