Up for sale is this "1-3/4" inch T-HANDLE WOOD AUGER, POST & BEAM FRAMING DRILL"  This T-Auger Drill is in very good condition for its age!  It was used, in days gone by, in post & frame construction, (Barn Framing), to drill 1" inch holes through a joint to drive a wooden pin to fasten the two members.  This item shows usage marks, as well as, some surface pitting in the metal.  The wood handle has some seasoning checking from age.  It measures approximately 20-3/4" inches in overall length, with a 16-1/2" inch x 2" inch oak handle.  The auger drills a 1-3/4" hole, with the shaft being 1/2" square steel.  Manufacturer Unknown.

This auger is a very good show piece and with a little TLC, could be a great piece to add to your primitive woodworking collection!!!!!
