REALLY QUITE SCARCE HANGING FIRE BASKET
OR FIRE LAMP/TORCH Circa EARLY 19th CENTURY.
This wonderful fire basket would be used with a bowl shaped liner within the wrought iron basket with oil soaked rag/cloth and then lit.
Could also have been used with wood.
Normally there would be a pair hanging either side of an entrance porch or similar.
That really would be a find to come across a matching pair.
This fantastic basket measures,38 cm out from the wall with the length of the bracket being 34 cm and the diameter of the basket itself measuring app 18 cm.
Fantastic either inside or out and could be used as intended outside or a variety of applications inside.
