The Hound Heater Dog House Furnace will help protect your pet from the cold. It features a long-life heating element for many years of reliable use. This product can also be used for most dog and cat houses. Product is made from 16 gauge powder coated steel. All you need to do is drill a hole through the wall of the house, feed the cord through the hole, mount the Hound Heater Dog House Furnace, set the thermostat and plug it in. It's that simple! 

The Hound Heater Dog House Furnace is designed so the cord is not accessible to your pet. The Hound Heater Dog House Furnace Deluxe with Cord Protector comes equipped with a Heavy Duty Chew-Proof Cord instead of the SBeigedard Cord. It's a protective spring that covers the entire cord, made of heavy duty stainless steel and also features a cord strain relief to eliminate cord tension problems. It has no sharp edges and will not burn your pet.

  • Low to Medium -- 32-50 degrees F
  • Medium to High -- 50-80 degrees F

    Most people set their Hound Heater Furnace slightly above Medium. Please remember that the size of your dog house, its level of insulation, and door greatly affect the Furnace's ability to reach any of these temperatures.
    • Installation Instructions:

     





    Tools Required: You will need a measuring device, drill, 1 1/8" wood bit, screw driver and six wood screws (not included).

    Step 1 -- Tape the Hound Heater mounting template in any corner of the dog house. We suggest mounting it away from the entrance.

    Step 2 -- Place the bit in the center of the template's black circle.

    Step 3 -- Drill a hole all the way through the wall.

    Step 4 -- Carefully feed the cord all the way through the previously drilled hole making sure the cord is not kinked.

    Step 5 -- Mount the Hound Heater in an upright position using four sturdy wood screws. The "C" on "Caution Hot" is the top of the unit.

    Step 6 -- Mount the Hound Heater Heat Shield about 2 inches above the top of the Hound Heater. The purpose of the shield is to deflect the rising heat and disperse it more efficiently in your pet's house. It will also protect the ceiling from getting too warm.

    Step 7 -- Set the thermostat to the desired temperature for your pet. (Medium setting is approximately 45-50 degrees F)

    Step 8 -- Plug the unit into a GFI outlet.

    NOTE -- The Hound Heater Deluxe Dog House Furnace is designed for wall mounting only. Floor or ceiling mounting can result in permanent damage to your Hound Heater. For maximum effectiveness, it is important that your dog house is insulated and preferably has a door or flap.
    IMPORTANT! Hound Heater™ Dog House Furnace is designed so the cord is not accessible to your pet from inside the house. Sometimes this is not possible and if this is a concern, then purchase the Hound Heater™ Dog House Furnace Deluxe with Cord Protector that comes equipped with a Heavy Duty Chew-Proof Cord instead of the Standard Cord

    ​For warranty performance contact us at AKOMA DOG PRODUCTS, INC., 16848 239th Avenue, Big Lake, MN 55309 to determine if only a replacement part is needed or if the cover needs to be returned for inspection and repair. Proof of retail purchase must be provided when making a warranty claim. Goods to be returned must have a pre-authorized RGA # (Returned Goods Authorization Number) obtained by calling us at 612-325-0353. The purchaser is responsible for all freight charges to Akoma Dog Products, Inc.. Akoma Dog Products, Inc. will pay freight to return goods to sender.

    Supplys Inc  Return Policy:
In most instances, returns are accepted, however, in the rare instances, there are certain products that the manufacturer does not accept returns unless the wrong item was shipped to you, or if there is a factory defect or damage during shipment. Some manufacturers do not accept returns because some items can not be resold once a pet has been in it for health reasons and or it is a single use item.
All product returns require a Return Merchandise Authorization number (RMA #). You need to contact Supplys Inc to receive your RMA # before returning an item. Customer will be responsible for shipping charges incurred for returned items. Free shipping is only offered to customers for purchase not for returns.
DO NOT return an item without prior authorization
All returned merchandise must be unused and in the original brand new condition with the original packaging and all parts and accessories intact and included. Return shipping charges are paid by the Buyer and are not refundable.
Restocking fee: Restocking fees vary depending on manufacture. Restocking fees can be anywhere from 10% to 25%. We do not profit from restocking fees and will only charge a restocking fee when manufactures apply such charges. We will notify you prior to your return if a restocking fee applies.
