I am selling the book AIRCRAFT GAS TURBINE TRAINING SCHOOL TRAINING MANUAL FOR J47-GE-17, TURBOJET ENGINE compiled by A.G.T. Training School, dated 1954. The book measures approximately 9" x 11-1/2" and is 205 pages long.   The pages are 3-hole punched but at present are held together by a  metal clasp and encased in light board covers. This volume was published in cooperation with General Electric, Aircraft Gas Turbine Division, of Cincinnati, Ohio. Black-and-white and colorized images illustrate the text.

The Introduction states (in part): "This manual has been written and illustrated for the specific purpose of describing in detail the operation of the J47-GE-17 engine. With this purpose in mind, the second section, termed Engine Description, has been written to describe what the engine looks like, how it functions and what it is attempting to accomplish. The third section termed Engine Systems, explains the methods and devices used to successfully support and operate the basic engine. The fourth section, termed Engine Operation, is a brief text on how properly to perform engine operation. This section also contains procedures for correcting engine malfunctions and necessary adjustments for correct engine operation. The fifth section, termed Minor Overhaul, contains the more frequently required methods and procedures for minor overhaul of the engine.

The fourth and fifth sections, Engine Operation and Minor Overhaul, are not designed to take the place of General Electric Company or Government publications and orders, but are written as a supplement for instructional purposes only."
