Legendary Thorens TD-135, serial number 24806, made in Switzerland.

TD-135 is basically Thorens TD-124 with a professional Thorens BTD-12S tonearm. Both the turntable and the tonearm have been recently professionally serviced (total cost £195.00). Technically and externally, both are in fantastic condition, and the turntable keeps speed very precisely and operates perfectly in all 4 speeds: 16, 33, 45 and 78.

Amazing sound reproduction - this turntable is a real treat for those who love vinyl sound. Due to its sound quality and reliability, the turntable became very collectable.

To achieve the best performance, you can use a bespoke case for this turntable which allows for using a second tonearm, together with the original one, and different cartridges at the same time.

We guarantee professional packaging before shipping.

See below the description and the technical specifications of the turntable and the tonearm from vinylengine:

Description

The Thorens TD-135 is a precision transcription turntable designed to function, for peak performance, solely with the Thorens BTD-12S professional tone arm.

While the BTD-12S tone arm is offered as a separate unit, the TD-135 is never sold separately.

Exceeding NAB standards for rumble, wow and flutter, the 4-speed motor unit features the same belt-idler drive, the same heavy, 12 inch non-magnetic turntable, and motor, the same variable speed control, and the same quality, precision and Swiss craftsmanship that have made other Thorens turntables famous for peerless performance.

No other integrated unit approaches the professional standards of the TD135 / BTD12S combination.

Thorens BTD-12S

Description

The BTD-12S tone arm is a classic example of Swiss craftsmanship.

Designed for lowest possible inertia and friction, in both horizontal and vertical planes, the arm is ideal for pickup cartridges of the highest lateral and vertical compliance.

The low inertia of the BTD-12S minimizes force on the stylus from warped and off centre records, assures positive contact between stylus and record groove, and reduces distortion as well as record and stylus wear to a minimum.

With built-in Precision lowering device and calibrated tracking force control.
