Screen Size The size of a screen is usually described by the length of its diagonal, which is the distance between opposite corners. It is also sometimes called the physical image size to distinguish it from the logical image size, which describes a screens display resolution and is measured in pixels.

Processor Speed The speed at which your computer runs programs or completes tasks is determined in great measure by your computers processor speed. Processor speed is measured in gigahertz (GHz). The higher this measurement, the faster the processor. Its hard to say the speed you should look for because these chips are constantly getting smaller and contain more and more power. However, when you shop, know that the higher numbers give the best performance and factor that into your decision depending on your needs.

Hard Drive Size Hybrid drives are storage devices that combine NAND flash solid-state drive (SSD) with hard disk drive (HDD) technology, with the intent of adding some of the speed of SSDs to the cost-effective storage capacity of traditional HDDs. The purpose of the SSD in a hybrid drive is to act as a cache for the data stored on the HDD, by keeping copies of the most frequently used data on the SSD for improved overall performance.

RPM Short for Revolutions Per Minute, RPM is used to help determine the access time on computer hard drives. RPM is a measurement of how many revolutions a computers hard drive makes in a single minute. The higher the RPM, the faster the data will be accessed; for example, if you were comparing two hard drives, one with 5400 RPM and another with 7200 RPM, the hard drive with a 7200 RPM will be capable of accessing data much faster than the other.

Memory Type In computing, DDR3 SDRAM, an abbreviation for double data rate type three synchronous dynamic random-access memory, is a modern type of dynamic random-access memory (DRAM) with a high bandwidth ("double data rate") interface, and has been in use since 2007. It is the higher-speed successor to DDR and DDR2 and predecessor to DDR4 synchronous dynamic random-access memory (SDRAM) chips. DDR3 SDRAM is neither forward nor backward compatible with any earlier type of random-access memory (RAM) because of different signaling voltages, timings, and other factors.

Memory Slot Pay attention to the number of slots, because the next time you will be required to install additional memory, you will already know how many empty slots you have. You will see a lot of empty slots for additional memory. ... Pay attention to the marking slot and buy the corresponding suitable type of memory that will be compatible with yours.

Operating SystemWireless LAN Data rate

Wireless LAN Type A wireless local area network (WLAN) is a wireless computer network that links two or more devices using a wireless distribution method (often spread-spectrum or OFDM radio) within a limited area such as a home, school, computer laboratory, or office building. This gives users the ability to move around within a local coverage area and still be connected to the network, and can provide a connection to the wider Internet. Most modern WLANs are based on IEEE 802.11 standards, marketed under the Wi-Fi brand name.
