This silverplate tea set was found in France. It is quite unique in
design: the perfectly round pot with creamer and sugar are made of silver over
brass. The construction is very sturdy, the metal is of a substantial
thickness. The handles are bakelite and have the clean sculpted art deco lines.
The set is in very good structural condition, but has a few signs of age: the
plate did not totally clean up and has some parts where the brass shimmers through.
The bakelite on the handle of the creamer has some blemishes
consistent with age and use. The tray that comes with this set fits perfectly, but is of a later date.
Measurements are: 8 ½” by 2 ¼” and 6 ½” tall tea pot; 6 ¼” by 2” and 5 ¼” tall creamer; 3 ½” by 2” and 5 ¼” tall sugar.
