INCREDIBLE Antique Pair Staffordshire Blenheim King Charles Cavalier Lamps

This is an amazing and truly rare find of 2 antique Staffordshire Blenheim King Charles Cavalier Dog Lamps.  They have a very majestic look for such a small dog.  These lamps are exceptional.  They have a very antique look and feel to them.   These are the Blenheim Cavaliers which are reddish and white.  

These Staffordshire dogs were specially made into lamps sometime around the 1920's based on the original wiring and plugs (in need of re-wiring).  The base of the lamp is specially molded to fit exactly around the base of the Cavalier figures.  The metal lamp base is intricately designed and goes quite nicely with the statues.  The shades are not original to these lamps however.  They have been made to fit.  

I do see crazing to both these statues which is common.  There is also a crack to each which I have pictured.  Also some paint loss to both and surface dirt.  There are 2 holes, 1 in each dog.  They look as though they made be factory holes but I'm not positive.

Do keep in mind these are antique pieces and do have flaws.  Personally I think it adds to their beauty.  1 switch does not want to stay on while the other lamp has exposed wiring on the back which I've pictured.  I think for safety reasons these lamps need to be re-wired.  I can have this done for you if you like.  There would be an extra 25.00 for this service.  Just let me know upon purchase if you would like to have this done along with any special request of the type of wiring etc.
