Welcome to my auction, here I have a BMW E36 328i ECU which has the  EWS immobilizer function disabled and is tuned to one of the 3 tune levels below that you need to select at checkout.

It is a Siemens MS41 ECU used in cars equipped with the M52B28 engine.  This will work in cars with a manual or automatic gearbox.  Adaptations are cleared so idle may be unstable initially as the ECU needs to learn adaptations.  Due to the nature of the automatic gearbox the power gains will be less noticeable in those cars.  There is no difference between the ECU for a manual or automatic gearbox.

In USA cars it has the added benefit that it will delete the secondary O2 sensors as this is a EU ECU and EU cars never had secondary O2 sensors.

Deleting the EWS is perfect for track cars, engine transplants or if you have any other reason to remove the EWS immobilizer.  It also makes this ECU plug and play.  This EWS delete in this ECU is a pure software modification, not a hardware hack, so it will never fail.  If you want to remove all the EWS parts from your car, you will need to connect pins 1 and 3 in the EWS module loom to have a permanent connection from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid.

Stock ECUs will run in safe mode limiting revs to 5300rpm if the ABS/ASC system is removed such as in a car transplant or track car.  This ecu has the ABS/ASC signal requirement disabled so will rev to the full rev limiter with no ABS/ASC in the car.  In a car with the ABS/ASC system in the car it will work the same and not effect the functioning of the ABS/ASC system.

Tune specs:

  • 7000 rpm rev limiter (anything above is not      safe but I can set this to any value you want ex: 7300rpm)
  •
  • idle speed raised on request to      help stabilize the idle with the M3 cams and light weight      flywheel, it will be left at the stock 680rpm by default
  •
  • ignition      timing, fuelling and VANOS maps retuned to give maximum torque      and horse power gain throughout the rev range
  •
  • Speed signal (ABS/ASC)      requirement removed (will work without it so perfect for transplants)
  •
  • No top speed limiter
  •
  • Secondary O2 delete for USA      cars (all other cars don't have them already)
  •
  • will work on stock engines      without the above modifications but will not give      as impressive power gains.  The modification that gives the      most power that I can recommend other than a re-tuned ECU is the M50      intake manifold
  •
  • MS41.0 DME (can replace      MS41.1 from USA)
  •
  • EWS immobilizer deleted so you can keep your      original ECU for the time when you sell your car or if you have problems      at the MOT.  No coding needed, you can just swap the ECUs
  •
  • 3 tune levels (Stock power      on the 328i is 193PS@5300rpm, 280Nm@3950rpm)

·

    • 1: remap on stock engine:       212PS@5750, 286Nm@4450
    •
    • 2: remap on stock engine       with M50 2.5 intake and M3 exhaust: 230PS@6000rpm, 290Nm@4700rpm
    •
    • 3: remap on stock       engine with M50 2.5 intake, M3 exhaust and M3 US S52 cams:       243PS@6200rpm, 292Nm@4750rpm
