For Auction/Sale:  A very nice early American Telegraph key made by Signal Electric Company which had been located in Menominee, Michigan.  This the model R-62, a Morse key for radio transmitters using 3/16" silver contacts.  Built on a cast bronze or brass frame, it made a timeless impression on Morse users as well as manufacturers. Some, like E.F. Johnson, patterned their version under their own label.  The key was
made as an alternative to the steel lever keys of the day in order to support all brass construction and appear heavy duty in nature.  It worked quite well.

Conditon:  Used, mechanically & electrically sound.  The lacquering is a little better than the first one I sold but the knob is chipped as you can see in the photo.  This was done a long time ago as the break area has been wearing evenly with the rest of the knob.  I worked quite a bit of DX with this key years ago when my manual key skills were supported by better health (no arthritis !).  I found the chip was unnoticeable once I began using it.

I have loaded many pictures of different aspects of the key.  Please study these and make your own appraisal.  I'm unsure what questions I could answer about this key but please feel free to contact me if you have any.  This key saw much service which the original lacquering now remembers.

Terms:  Sold, as just mentioned, as a vintage collectible and strictly as is.  This will be packed well and shipped quickly.
